Wolfric Valor was the first king of the Magnificent North. He built Wolf Hall, where Prince Apollo later resides. He is married to Honora Valor, who he has seven children with.
Appearance[]
Wolfric is a rugged man with broad shoulders, a full beard, and a brutal scar running down the right side of his face. He has bear-like hands, and is very tall.
Biography[]
The stories claimed that Wolfric Valor could fell entire armies with one battle cry, and rip off the heads of his enemies with his bare hands. He united the fighting Northern clans to form a kingdom and built Wolf Hall as a wedding gift for his wife, Honora, after stealing her away from another man.
Bane Slaughterwood was his greatest friend and ally, so when Wolfric became king, he pledged that one of his daughters would marry Bane's eldest son.
Aurora Valor and Vengeance Slaughterwood had been betrothed since Aurora's birth. Aurora tried to break off the wedding to marry Lyric Merrywood, but her father refused. Wolfric said Aurora was a silly girl who knew nothing of love. Aurora knew that no one ever won a fight with Wolfric. So she told her father that she would go through with the marriage to Vengeance. But on the morning of the wedding, she ran away. That was when Vengeance learned of her affair with Lyric Merrywood.
His son, Castor, tried to warn Lyric of the attack. Castor was stabbed in the back, and Jacks brought him to Honora, but Castor died. Grief over the death of her son, Honora resurrected him, but he became a monster devouring human blood. He became the vampire Chaos.
The Ballad of Never After[]
When the Valory Arch is opened, Chaos wakes up his family. Honora breaks the curse of the Archer, as well as the mirror curse that had been placed on Apollo and Evangeline. She also removes Chao's vampire helm.
A Curse of True Love[]
Apollo feels indebted to Wolfric and Honora, and makes their family a Great House, House Vale. He also gifts them lands, the Merrywood Village, the Manor, and the Merrywood Forest.
Apollo learns of a tree that Wolfric had grown; the Tree of Souls. He asks Wolfric about it, who shuts down Apollo's intentions to go to the tree. Apollo entrusts the help of Aurora to find the tree, and when he does, he attempts to use Evangeline to gain the immunity he wishes. Wolfric arrives, but makes no moves to stop Apollo, who believes the tree will take his wife's soul. Wolfric knows that the tree will instead take Apollo's soul, as he loves himself more than he loves anybody else.
