Tiberius Peregrine Acadian is the younger brother of Prince Apollo. He is also a member of the Protectorate.
Appearance[]
Tiberius has long, copper hair that he typically keeps tied back. His face is not sculpted, but soft and dusted in freckles that give him an impish appearance. He isn't particularly tall and has a slight build. He is said to look very differently from his brother Apollo.
Tiberius moves "like a person in possession of power."[1] He is about seventeen years old. There is a tattoo at the base of his neck of a broken skeleton key, the symbol of the Protectorate.
Personality[]
Tiberius seems confident in himself, not afraid to say what is on his mind. He is strong-willed, and fights to defend the Protectorate's beliefs that the Valory Arch is to remained sealed. At Apollo and Evangeline's wedding, Tiberius isn't afraid to imply that Apollo is under the effects of a love spell.
Biography[]
Once Upon a Broken Heart[]
Tiberius and Apollo had a temporary falling-out some months before Evangeline Fox arrives. Tiberius disappeared for weeks. When he returns, he begins avoiding most social functions, but makes a surprise appearance at Evangeline and Apollo's wedding.
Tiberius attempts to kill Evangeline because he believes she is the prophecy that would be able to open the Valory Arch. He believes magic things always want to do that which they were created to do, and so in his mind, it doesn't matter if Evangeline doesn't want to open the Arch, she will inevitably do so. Evangeline tricks Tiberius into admitting the truth, that she didn't poison Apollo, he did. Tiberius is imprisoned in the dungeons in Wolf Hall.
The Ballad of Never After[]
Evangeline makes her way through a forest to find the prison tower that Tiberius is locked away in. When she sees him, they talk about him still wishing to kill her to prevent the Valory from being opened. Evangeline shows him the mirror curse that is inflicting both her and Tiberius' brother, her husband, Apollo. She carves words into her arm, and waits. After some seconds, a response becomes etched in her skin. She shows Tiberius, and he worries for his brother, but refuses to help Evangeline open the Arch. Evangeline leaves him in the tower.
Relationships[]
Marisol Tourmaline[]
After Prince Apollo's attempted murder and Evangeline fleeing Wolf Hall, Tiberius is placed under the curse of a love potion by Marisol. He proposes to her and becomes obsessed with her, much like Apollo had with Evangeline. After the curse is broken by Evangeline's truth serum, Tiberius tells Marisol that if he ever sees her again he will kill her.
Apollo Acadian[]
Apollo and Tiberius used to be close brothers. They had a falling-out, resulting in Tiberius disappearing for a few weeks. He does not appear at court until Apollo and Evangeline's wedding day. Apollo is known to react to the mention of Tiberius' name, flinching or frowning.
