The Vanished Market is a Fated place. Its entrance is found in the Temple District of the Meridian Empire.
Appearance[]
Outside the Market[]
The entrance to the Vanished Market is hidden in stone ruins near the Temple District. A road lined with fossilized trees, crumbling archways, and frighteningly lifelike statues leads into the ruins. Within the ruins, one particular dilapidated stone arch contains a palm-sized hourglass symbol. Spikes jut from the top of the hourglass, to be used for the blood sacrifice which will summon the market.
When the blood sacrifice is made, an old, crooked road "lined with foreign trees on the verge of losing all their brilliant red leaves"[1] leads through the archway. Along the crooked road, tents spread between the trees, covered in tattered brocades and lined in weather-worn tassels.
Inside the Market[]
Entering the archway feels like entering an illustrated history book. Women wear bell-sleeved dresses with dropped waists and low-slung belts made of heavy embroidery. Men wear homespun shirts laced up in the front, and loose pants tucked into wide-brimmed boots. Children in the market dress in similar clothes. They either pretend to fight with wooden swords or braid wreaths out of flowers.
The market vendors heckle and argue with each other, trying their hardest to convince visitors to look at their stalls. Donatella thinks of them as friendly and a little too eager. They react as if she is the first guest they have had in centuries.
Plot[]
Legendary[]
All the Fates are released from the Deck of Destiny, including Fated objects and Fated places.
Finale[]
Donatella goes to The Vanished Market to find the Fallen Star's weakness in order to kill him. Legend meets her there, and they talk to the twins running one of the stalls.
Powers[]
The Vanished Market can be summoned by going to a set of ruins to the west of the Temple District. An hour inside the Market is a day in the real world.
