Empress Elantine is the ruler of the Meridian Empire. She lives and rules in Valenda.
Appearance[]
When Jacks and Donatella have dinner with Elantine she has full rosy cheeks, dark olive skin and a round body that "looked as if it would be very soft to hug." However, when Tella visits her in the tower, she looks waxen and sickly, and her voice sounds feverish. She looks like she has aged two decades in two days. Elantine reveals that she took a tonic from Legend and that he was helping her hide her failing health from Jacks.

Elantine is cunning and sees past Jacks' performance. She is a good actress, convincing Jacks that she is healthy and she didn't see past his performance.
