Tabitha Fortuna was the matriarch of House Fortuna, one of the Great Houses. She had multiple grandchildren, one being her granddaughter Thessaly Fortuna, one of the eligible bachelorette's vying for Prince Apollo during Nocte Neverending.
Tabitha created Fortuna's Fantastically Flavored Water. She was secretly a member of the Protectorate. She had two steel-gray dogs named Jupiter and Hadez that reached her waist.
Appearance[]
Tabitha was an older woman who looked like an expensive doll, with circles of rouge on her cheeks and a dress belted with a gold chain. Evangeline imagined her to be the type of doll that people had nightmares about coming to life and killing them in their sleep.
Personality[]
Tabitha had a grumpy and aggressive temperament, and was not afraid to express her dislike for Evangeline. Her dogs were of similar personality, gnashing at Evangeline. This reaction led Jacks and Evangeline to place Tabitha under a temporary spell, causing her to become kinder. The dogs changed, too, licking at Evangeline's hands.
Plot[]
Once Upon A Broken Heart[]
The Fortuna Castle, where Tabitha Fortuna resided was a storybook castle. It was colored purple, blue, and pink, with golden light that blazed through the windows.
Jacks and Evangeline used the second of Evangeline's three kisses to put Tabitha under the spell. Immediately after being kissed on the cheek, the old woman became kinder. She was suddenly willing to give them a tour of her home and her vault, where Jacks was hoping Evangeline may find one of the missing Valory Arch stones. Evangeline did not know this until The Ballad of Never After.
The vaults held the recipes and ingredients for Fortuna's Fantastically Flavored Water. While in the vaults, the spell wore off Tabitha, and she became violent, lunging at Evangeline. Jacks hit her over the head with an emerald skull, and she fell to the floor. Days later, House Fortuna reported that their matriarch had taken a tumble down the stairs, and was recovering.
