Liana Fox was Evangeline Fox's mother, and wife of Maximilian. She died a couple of years before the setting of Once Upon A Broken Heart.
Liana used to tell Evangeline stories that she learnt growing up in The Magnificent North. Evangeline's favorite story was The Ballad of the Archer and the Fox. It was a romantic tale about a peasant girl able to transform into a fox, and a young archer who loved her. The archer was cursed to forever hunt the fox-girl until he killed her.

Liana was loving and always telling stories. She raised Evangeline to be curious, adventurous, and friendly. She always used to say, "All stories are made of both truths and lies. What matters is the way that we believe in them."
Plot[]
Liana was born and raised in the Magnificent North until she met Maximilian Fox and fell in love. They married and she moved to his home in Valenda. Liana became pregnant with Evangeline before moving the Valenda, giving birth to her in the Magnificent North.

A Curse for True Love[]
When Evangeline travelled to the Cursed Forest to search for Prince Apollo who was attending the Hunt, she was attacked, ran into the forest, and became lost. She came across streets and storefronts that were familiar to her, the streets she grew up on in Valenda. When she walked into her father's curiosity shop, she heard voices, and ventured further in. She followed the voices upstairs, belonging to her mother and father, but no matter how far she went, she couldn't find them. This was part of the forest's curse.
Her parents told her not to go upstairs as they had a surprise for her, but she was too excited by the thought of seeing them. Chaos eventually found her, dragging her attention away from her parents. The voices stopped, and Jacks was able to get her out of the forest.
