Isla de los Sueños is Legend's private island. On this island, Caraval is held. Its name means the "island of dreams."

Isla de los Sueños is not ruled by any of the five Empires. It is an ordinary island during the day, but is transformed into the amazing world of Caraval at night using large amounts of magic. The isle is about two days' journey from Trisda.
Isla de los Sueños looks lush and alive. Glittering mist swirls around vibrant, green, tree-covered mountains rising toward the sky like massive emeralds. From the top of the largest peak an iridescent blue waterfall streams down like melted peacock feathers, disappearing into the ring of sunrise-tinted clouds that surround the isle.[1] The colors on the island seem brighter, thicker, and sharper compared to other places. The island smells sweet with a bit of tangy citrus.
Instead of sand, the beach is covered in snow that is smooth and perfect, almost like frosting on a cake. Beyond the beach of snow is a line of thick green trees. Their trunks look like thick braids and are covered in snowy blue-green moss. Past the forest, the soft dirt ground transforms into a firmer road paved with opalescent stones. The cobbled road multiplies into a maze of twisting streets. The streets are lined with mismatched, rounded shops painted shades of jewels or pastels, and are piled on top of one another like sloppily stacked hatboxes.[2]
