Jacks

i just finished acftl and that last page has me scratching my head… y’all have any thoughts or theories on exactly what the apples are to him?

Okay so i have been wondering something and i need your help. I finished the caraval series, i am absolutely consumed by it. I LOVE tella and legend. Now the problem is that i absolutely cannot stand Jacks, i dont know why people like him in caraval but i despise him. I want to continue in the caraval world but that would mean that i can only read Once Upon a Broken Heart. I dont need some sort of Jacks redemption arc etc. Like i said i dont like Jacks and i dont want to like Jacks. My question is: do i still read it?
